I know this happens to everyone. No matter what you do, whether it is going to school or at your workplace, there is always going to be someone who feels that their opinions are more important that yours and everyone else around you. You know the loud mouths that I am talking about.
Today in class I spent most of my time wondering if a certain student would just stop talking. The teacher made us read an editorial and had us comment on it. Of course this student was the first to voice her opinion. After she was done, the teacher asked the rest of the class if there was anyone who opposed her. Someone else answered that they did not agree and gave a few reasons why. Instead of allowing other students to chime in, the loud mouth just jumped back into the conversation and continued the second students thoughts.
After we read the editorial, the teacher made us go over a list of statements and wanted us to point out which ones were truths and which were assumptions. We ended up on one that said “Anyone American could be President”. Ms. Loud Mouth said it was a truth because George W. Bush was a C student. I felt the need to point out that in order for that to be a truth you would have to at least point out that you must be an AMERICAN BORN citizen in order to be the President and she flipped out by turning around and yelling to me that they could make an amendment someday that would allow someone like Arnold Schwar (eh forget spelling that, you know who I am talking about) to become President.
First of all, no one wants to hear you talk all class. There is a reason why the class consists of more than just one student in the class. It is so everyone has an equal opportunity to learn. Do me a favor and just be silent for one class.
